The basket filter is used on oil or other liquid pipelines to filter debris in the pipeline. The area of the filter hole is more than 2-3 times larger than the diameter of the diameter pipe. (1) Weakly corrosive materials in chemical and petrochemical production, such as water, ammonia, oil, hydrocarbons, etc.

(2) Corrosive materials in chemical production, such as: caustic soda, concentrated sulfuric acid, carbonic acid, acetic acid, ester acid, etc.

(3) Low temperature materials in refrigeration, such as liquid methane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen and various refrigerants.

(4) Light industrial foods, materials with hygienic requirements in pharmaceutical production, such as: beer, beverages, dairy products, grain and medical supplies.

General principles for basket filter selection

1. the choice of the number of holes:
The main consideration is the particle size of the impurities to be intercepted, depending on the process requirements of the media process. The size of the screen that can be intercepted by various specifications of the screen can be found in the table below.

2. Nominal pressure:
The pressure rating of the filter is determined by the highest pressure that may occur in the filter line.

3. Import and export routes:
In principle, the inlet and outlet diameter of the filter should not be less than the inlet diameter of the matching pump, which is generally consistent with the diameter of the inlet pipe.
